STATEMENT: No on Prop 43 Campaign Manager Reacts to Early Election Returns

The No on Prop 43 Campaign Was Backed By More Than 100 Elected Officials, Firefighters, Nurses and Housing Advocates

SACRAMENTO, CA – The No on Prop 43 campaign released the following statement on early General Election results in California from David Kaufman, campaign manager:

“While votes are still being counted, it is clear that Californians have rejected Proposition 43 and the corporate power grab behind it. Corporations have tried this three times, and voters have now given a definitive answer: decisions about how to invest in our communities belong to the people who live in them. Thank you to the elected officials, firefighters, nurses, housing advocates, healthcare leaders, and hardworking Californians who built our broad coalition and made tonight’s victory possible. Together, we kept power where it belongs, with local voters.”
